PDAC-SEG Student Minerals Colloquium
The Student Minerals Colloquium (SMC) brings together geoscience students and industry professionals to highlight innovative student research on projects essential for the successful evolution of the modern mining industry.
This event provides industry professionals with an opportunity to support and stay current with ongoing international research from students across the world. The 16th annual Colloquium will take place at the PDAC 2025 Convention in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from March 2nd - 5, 2025.
A panel of industry professionals will judge the posters and three winners from each of the BSc, MSc, PhD categories will receive $500, $400 and $300 respectively. PDAC Convention attendees are encouraged to meet the student researchers and attend the SMC Reception and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Northern Lights Learning Hub in the Trade Show North.

Registration Information
The registration process for the Student Minerals Colloquium has two mandatory components:
Registration deadline: December 13, 2024 by 11:59 p.m.
Abstract submission deadline: January 10, 2025 by 11:59 p.m.
