Acimostawin
Booth No. 7706N
Traditional birchbark bitings are created through harvesting single layers of birchbark from the paper birch tree. The bark is folded and designs are pressed into the bark using teeth. Historically, the intricate designs were used as adornment for baskets, and templates for painted designs and later beadwork.
