Board Nominations
Nominations open September 15, 2026 and close November 15, 2026
The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance and stewardship of the association and represents the full spectrum of professions making up the minerals industry. Directors are elected by the membership and announced at the Annual Meeting of Members on March 7, 2027.
There are 8 (eight) seats available for three-year terms.
Members are encouraged to review the current Board composition and Association priorities when considering a nomination.
Complete nomination packages must be submitted no later than November 15, 2026 11:59 p.m. EST.
Nominee Qualifications
Nominees standing for election must fulfill all five of the following legal and organizational benchmarks:
- Be at least 18 years of age with power under law to contract.
- Not have been declared incapable by a court in Canada or another country.
- Not have the status of bankrupt.
- Be a current PDAC Member in good standing.
- Must meet at least one of these commitment milestones:
- A Member in good standing for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years.
- Served for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years on a PDAC committee.
Supporter Requirements
To nominate or support a peer for election to the PDAC Board of Directors, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be a PDAC Member in good standing.
Nomination Package
Members who intend to stand for election must submit the Nomination Form. Your package must include:
- Completed & Signed Nominee Form.
- A Recent Photograph.
- Background Details: Your profession, title, employer, and duration of PDAC membership.
- Industry Involvement: Current and former PDAC board/committee involvement, other mining industry memberships, mining industry experience, and volunteer leadership (in the mining industry and/or elsewhere).
- Written Statements: A biography (maximum 200 words) and an election statement (maximum 150 words).
10 Completed & Signed Support Forms: You must secure completed and signed Nomination Support Forms from ten (10) other Members in good standing.
