Angela “Angie” Persico is a Principal Environmental Scientist at INTERA with a BS in environmental science and 21 years of experience. She specializes in developing interdisciplinary teams of technical experts to address client needs and facilitate risk-informed decision making. Her expertise includes regulatory strategy and compliance and communication of complex geoscientific information to a variety of audiences. Angie leads site characterization investigations associated with development, operational, and closure stage mining projects, including development and management of health and safety programs; environmental data collection; statistical evaluation; characterization of background/baseline conditions; and hydrological, geochemical, and geological modeling for regulatory and operational decision support purposes. Angie has managed multi-year projects with municipalities, Federal and Tribal governments, and energy sector clients. As Director of Mining Services Business Development, she facilitates the implementation of INTERA’s strategic plan and expansion of services to the mining sector.
