Annemarie Brissenden

Annemarie Brissenden is the Director of Investor Relations for Refined Substance, a full service investor relations, marketing, and communications firm. An experienced investor relations professional and accomplished communicator, she has played lead roles in several financings, an initial public offering, and a spin out. She has advised on shareholder activism, rebranded several public companies, and worked on a transformative corporate merger. Ms. Brissenden has written for the Canadian Investor Relations Institute’s (CIRI) IR Leader, served as a judge for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada’s Awards of Excellence. Currently a member of CIRI’s issues committee, she has guest-lectured on investor relations and corporate writing at Seneca and Conestoga colleges, as well as CIRI’s Essentials of Investor Relations course. She is a Certified Professional in Investor Relations (CPIR) and has a degree in English Literature (with Distinction) from McGill University.
