Carolyn Burns

Carolyn is the Director of the Sustainable Resources Program at RESOLVE. In this role, she works with a team to lead multi-stakeholder initiatives that drive sustained positive outcomes for people and environments impacted by natural resource development. Carolyn is a social performance practitioner with expertise leading collaborative problem-solving and research projects in the resources sector with affected communities, companies, governments, and civil society organisations. Carolyn lives in Toronto with her husband and two kids. She is from Edmonton, Alberta and has lived and worked in many countries. She has a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, a Graduate Certificate in Community Relations in the Extractive Sector from Queen’s University, Accreditation from the Partnership Brokers Association, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.
