David Anonychuk

David Anonychuk is the Global Vice President of Metallurgy and Consulting at SGS, with over 30 years of international experience across the mining and metals value chain. A former senior executive with Glencore and Xstrata, he is a leading voice on critical minerals and their importance to battery, defence, and energy supply chains. He has presented to NATO and the White House and is a frequent commentator in industry and media, including BNN Bloomberg. David serves as Co Chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Critical Mineral Council, is a member of the IEA’s Critical Mineral Expert Advisory Group and advises Natural Resources Canada and Canada’s Department of National Defence.
