Dean McPherson

Dean McPherson is Head of Global Mining for the TMX Group, owner and operator of the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange. He is responsible for the development and execution of the global strategy for attracting mining companies to join these global leading stock markets for mining companies. Prior to the TMX Group, Mr. McPherson worked as an investment banker, assisting mining companies to raise capital to meet growth objectives. Before joining the capital markets, Mr. McPherson worked for 10 years as a civil engineer, managing capital projects for Alcoa Inc. (an international diversified mining company) and FLUOR (a major international engineering services company for the resources sector). In addition to an undergraduate honors degree in Civil Engineering; Mr. McPherson earned a masters degree from Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, Canada and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Charter holder.
