Doris Hiam-Galvez

Dr. Doris Hiam-Galvez, is a transformational leader in the resource sector. With a PhD in Metallurgy and over 30 years of global senior leadership, she has pioneered breakthrough innovations that minimize environmental impact, accelerate project timelines, and build trust across government, industry, academia, and communities. As a Director at Hatch, Doris spearheaded a 15-year global expansion, pioneering new markets through first of their kind solutions across Europe, South America, Australia, and Canada. Earlier, as CTO of Novelis, she advanced the company’s innovation agenda. A Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and a CIM Distinguished Lecturer, Dr. Doris is the Founder/Author of “Designing Sustainable Prosperity”, she developed a method that transforms resource-based economies into catalysts for diversified, lasting prosperity, uniting government, industry, academia, and communities around a shared regional vision.
