Hélène Timpano

Hélène Timpano, Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development, joined Centerra Gold Inc. in May 2023. Hélène is an experienced mining executive and former management consultant with multinational experience in operations and development projects. Hélène is responsible for overseeing the company’s long-term growth strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and key partnerships. Her most recent executive position was as Senior Vice President, Operations at Kinross Gold Corporation where she led operations and technical strategy. Hélène also held various other executive roles at Kinross where she led Kinross’s annual strategic business planning process, numerous technical M&A due diligence efforts, and oversaw many asset level strategy and optimization projects. She also led a number of corporate functions including Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement, among other areas. Before her tenure at Kinross, Hélène was a consultant at Bain & Company, a multi-national consulting firm. Hélène is an engineer with a Bachelor Degree in Integrated Engineering and a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Honours Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business and Western University. Hélène holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management from Northwestern University.
