Michael is recognized as a leading authority in the global mining and natural resources sector, bringing over 25 years of senior executive experience within British Columbia, across Canada, and internationally. His expertise encompasses major project design and operations, capital markets and project financing, public policy, Indigenous reconciliation best practices, and regulatory strategy for major projects.
Michael currently occupies two key leadership roles. He is the Executive Chairman and one of the Founders of Falkirk Consulting, a nationally recognized, award-winning advisory firm focused on major project realization in the resource sector. He also serves as Managing Director and Chief Projects Officer at Regeneration Enterprises, Inc., where he directs global projects, operations and strategy for this leading remining, metals recovery and land restoration company that works in partnership with leading companies including Rio Tinto, Apple, Caterpillar, and Mejuri.
Michael lives in North Vancouver, BC and serves on the board of directors of several public and private companies and non-governmental organizations. He also co-authored the internationally best-selling book "Weaving Two Worlds – Economic Reconciliation Between Indigenous Peoples and the Resource Sector".
