Rob is the Director of Geology and Exploration for Hecla and has over 18 years of exploration and operations experience in the mining industry. Rob’s career began at the world-class Greens Creek Mine where he made significant contributions to the exploration, production, and resource geology groups. He then earned a PhD through focused study of the geology and genesis of the San Sebastian intermediate-sulfidation epithermal deposit in Mexico, before returning to Greens Creek in the role of Chief Geologist. Since early 2024, Rob has provided mine geology and exploration guidance to Hecla’s mines and exploration projects in his capacity as the Director of Geology and Exploration. Mr. Davidson is registered as a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) through the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) and holds a BSc in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines as well as a PhD in Economic Geology from the Center for Ore Deposit and Earth Sciences (CODES) at the University of Tasmania.
