Robert is a Consulting Exploration Geophysicist with extensive project management experience for both the mineral and petroleum industries. Having obtained his HB.Sc. (Geophysics with Geology specialization) from UWO in 1983, he commenced work with Paterson, Grant & Watson Ltd. (PGW) as a geophysical consultant. In 1993 he obtained a M.Sc. (Geology and Geophysics) from McMaster University. During the ensuing years, Robert has held many roles, technical and management, both as a consultant and as Chief Geophysicist at McPhar Airborne Survey, President and Chief Geophysicist at MPX Airborne Surveys, Manager Interpretation at Quantec Geoscience, Chief Geophysicist for Asperbras, and Chief Geophysicist for Areva (now Orano) Resources Canada Inc. Currently Robert is working with Southern Geoscience Consultants through his consulting company GeoFizX Consulting. Projects have included exploration programs in North and South America, West and Central Africa, the Middle East, China and India. Robert’s experience also includes evaluating and testing new ground and airborne geophysical systems through proof-of-concept projects and consulting on instrument development. His specialisation is in integration, interpretation and modelling of geophysical and geologic information to obtain positive exploration outcomes. Robert is a Fellow of Geoscience Canada (FGC) and a member of the PDAC (Convention Planning Committee), and of the following professional organisations: SEG, CSEG, ASEG, EAGE and KEGS. He is a registered Professional Geophysicist with PGO, APEGS, APEGA and NAPEG. He is the current President of the Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (PGO)
