Sarah Daniel is Principal Policy & Advocacy within BHP’s global Human Rights and Social Performance team. She leads the design and implementation of global policies, standards, and assurance practices that support BHP’s commitment to respect human rights, responsibly manage social risk, and strengthen community outcomes across its global operations. With more than a decade of experience across policy, due diligence, stakeholder engagement, and social investment, Sarah has held senior roles spanning every phase of the mining asset lifecycle and at the corporate level. Her work sits at the intersection of business decision‑making and societal outcomes, with a focus on building human rights and social performance governance frameworks that align to international best standards and achieve shared value for the company and stakeholders. Sarah holds a Master of Global Affairs from Rice University and a Graduate Certificate in Community Development in the Resources Sector from the University of Queensland.
