Sebastian Benavides

Sebastian leads the Discovery team for Anglo American in the Andean countries, covering both greenfields and near-asset exploration. At Quellaveco, Sebastian is part of the executive leadership team and oversees the different exploration programmes aimed at increasing resources. Sebatian holds a BSc. in Geological Engineering from Colorado School for Mines, an MSc. in Economic Geology from CODES at University of Tasmania and currently has over 15 years of experience exploring and leading teams in Latin America, primarily focused on exploration for and around world-class Porphyry Cu systems.
