Dalton McCaffrey is a physical scientist at the National Minerals Information Center with the United States Geological Survey. He holds a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (2023), where his research focused on critical metal pegmatite petrogenesis and ore-forming processes, in addition to supply chain analysis of critical minerals. His current work centers around the supply and demand market dynamics of critical minerals with emphasis on granite-derived ores, and the development of methodologies to assess criticality.
