Guilherme Ferreira

Guilherme Ferreira da Silva is a Research Geologist at the Geological Survey of Brazil (SGB-CPRM) and has been Head of the Economic Geology Division since 2022. He holds a Ph.D. in Geology (2022) and a master’s degree in Applied Geophysics (2014) from the University of Brasília, Brazil. His expertise includes geological mapping in the Amazon Craton, mineral exploration, and structural geology. He has been a member of the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) since 2019 and the Brazilian Society of Geology since 2018. Guilherme specializes in using machine learning for mineral potential modeling and contributes to national-scale projects, leads geosciences training, and publishes and reviews in different scientific journals.
