Ingo Wender
Ingo Wender is an Brazilian-German Entrepreneur, with focus on natural resources & technology, graduated as Mechanical Engineer in 1981 at Faculdade de Engenharia Industrial in Sao Paulo/ Brazil. In the years between 1981 and 1998 lived in Germany and Brazil, worked at various German and Brazilian companies involved in engineering. In 1998 Ingo got involved with mining and signed a J&V agreement with BHP Billiton in 2005. In 2007 co-founded Terrativa Minerais and in 2011, with an group of investors sold a iron ore mine with over 3bn tons to a consortium of international investors. In 2010 Ingo started to develop in Brazil a chloride free potash fertilizer produced from feldspar and sponsored a research program at the MIT. Advanced Potash Technologies (APT) was founded in 2013 and established a lab in Boston to develop this fertilizer. In the year of 2012 Ingo was co-founder of Boston Electrometallurgical Corporation (BEMC), to develop a novel technology for environmentally friendly ferroalloy and green steel production. BEMC was renamed to Boston Metal https://www.bostonmetal.com/, currently has a world-class investor syndicate and is working to decarbonize steelmaking and transform how metals are made.
