Jim studied economic geology at Michigan State University and the University of Arizona, where he received his PhD in 1991. During his 40 years of professional activity, Jim’s primary focus has been on applied research, exploration, and development of porphyry and other intrusion-related deposit types. His professional positions have included researcher with the Mineral Deposit Research Unit at the University of British Columbia, principal of JM Lang Professional Consulting, technical lead on numerous major projects with Hunter Dickinson Inc. including Chief Geologist of the Pebble Project,, and Chief Geoscientist for Northwest Copper Corp. Jim is giving this talk in his capacity as Technical Advisor to Amarc Resources Ltd.
