Janelle Dixon

With over 20 years of experience, Janelle is a Partner at KPMG in Canada’s Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Mining practice. Janelle has extensive experience in tax planning, tax advisory, tax due diligence, and financing and structuring of investments inside and outside of Canada. Janelle’s client base is mining focused covering both Canadian inbound and outbound structures. Janelle has in-depth knowledge of Canadian income and mining tax, working with clients engaging in Canadian exploration, development and mining activities. She has a deep understanding of the flow through share tax regime and has worked closely with Canadian junior exploration companies and intermediate gold producers on flow through share issuances. Janelle was previously the team lead for tax provision reporting under IFRS for large multinational mining companies with active operations in jurisdictions such as Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, the United States, Canada, and more.
