Kevin Murphy is a Director of Metals & Mining Research with S&P Global Commodity Insights, working out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. He started with Metals Economics Group in 2007 which, through a series of acquisitions, became the core of the Metals & Mining Research group at S&P Global.
He is the head of the Mine Economics group which curates production forecasts, cost curves, emissions and DCF information for global mining operations. He also leads the group which conducts the annual exploration survey and assess global financing, drilling and discovery rates. His personal work passions are around tracking discovery rates and supply pipelines.
