Michael is the Co-Chair of the Finance and Taxation Committee of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), and was the Co-Founder, Director, Young Mining Professionals Toronto

Stephanie is a Tax Senior Manager in KPMG Canada’s Mining tax practice with over 15 years of experience in public practice. Stephanie focuses primarily on providing income tax services to Canadian and multinational mining companies, as well as royalty companies. 

Stephanie has broad experience in natural resources, mining, consumer markets and manufacturing industries. She specializes in advising multinational and private corporations on Canadian corporate income tax matters, including Canadian tax compliance, tax due diligence, tax modeling, tax audit defense, structuring and reorganization, financing arrangements, cross-border transactions, and accounting for income taxes.

With extensive advisory and business experience in the investment industry including over a decade focused on corporate finance to fund mineral exploration and development projects, Lisa oversees the strategic direction of the firm. Lisa also possesses an in-depth knowledge of securities regulation gained while on secondment to the Ontario Securities Commission and as General Counsel for a specialized investment fund business.

While in private practice, Lisa specialized in corporate and securities law with two international law firms including as a partner of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (now Dentons). Lisa is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1986. She has earned her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and is a member of the Association de L’Éxploration Minière du Quebec, Women in Mining and Women in Capital Markets. Lisa is also on the Advisory Board for LIGHTS, a program in partnership with Community Living Toronto aimed at addressing the significant shortage of independent and appropriate housing for intellectually disabled citizens in Toronto.

Lisa has completed a 6 year term as a Director of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) for which she also served as co-chair of the Finance & Taxation Committee. Lisa continues as a member of the Finance & Taxation Committee and the Securities Committee of PDAC. She is currently a Director of Signature Resources Inc. which owns the Lingman Lake Gold Project in the Red Lake district of Northwestern Ontario.
