Patrick Collins

Patrick Collins is a District Geologist at Barrick Gold, where he has been part of the exploration team since 2019. He started as a Senior Geologist running exploration at Hemlo and has since taken on responsibilities focused on project generation and supporting Barrick’s Canadian exploration activities Patrick holds an MSc from Memorial University and a BSc Honours from Dalhousie University. Over the years, he has gained broad experience in various mineral systems, including nickel-copper-PGE, IOCG, VMS, and rare earth elements. Before focusing on gold, Patrick was involved in the discovery of the Strange Lake B Zone heavy rare earth deposit, an important milestone in his early career. Patrick's current focus is on evaluating new and developing exploration opportunities, applying his knowledge to support ongoing exploration at Barrick’s Hemlo mine.
