Siri Genik

Principal & Founder, BRIDGE©
Etobicoke, Canada

Siri has spent over 25 years working on major capital projects around the world.

Siri currently runs BRIDGE©, a boutique advisory firm, providing support to Boards and Leadership, focusing on how to best integrate Sustainability Strategy and best-in class ESG practices with an organization’s business model.

BRIDGE© works with leadership within an organization to identify and align both internal and external stakeholders, in a manner that is relevant, within the broader socio-economic ecosystem it is functioning in. In this manner, Siri works to support leadership teams in de-risking various aspects of the business and identifying which components of the Sustainability and ESG spectrum within the business require adjustment and alignment.

Prior to running her own business Siri worked with BHP Canada as Head of Project Services, as well as with Glencore (Xstrata) in Australia, Malaysia and New Caledonia, and other major companies in the industry.

Siri currently sits on the board of Exploits Discovery Corp, is chair of the Sustainability and Governance Committee and a member of the Nominating & Governance Committee. Most recently Siri joined the board of the Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd, and is also the Chair of the Sustainability Committee.

Siri is a director of the PDAC, and a member of the Sustainability and Lands and Regulations Committees, as well as the EDI sub-committee. She was a member of Council of the Professional Geoscientists Association of Ontario and is the out-going Vice-Chair of Women in Mining Canada.

Siri is a lawyer, as well as a qualified mediator. She is perfectly fluent in English, French and Spanish. Siri recently received the 2019 “Distinguished Lecturer Award for CSR” from the Canadian Institute of Mining. She lectures in a number of universities both in Canada, Australia and South America.
