Stacia Kean

As a past member of the Catalyste+ Senior Leadership Team, Stacia now volunteers her time on the Catalyste+ Indigenous and Northern Services Committee where she continues to be involved in the critical work the organization does with Indigenous Nations across Canada and within the natural resource sector. Currently Stacia is the Manager of Economic Development and Strategy for the City of Yellowknife, where she applies her extensive experience in leadership roles focused on economic development, reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, and public engagement. In Yellowknife, Stacia and her team work closely with local businesses, investors, and agencies to develop and implement strategies that drive prosperity and maximize local economic benefits. Her skills in relationship building are key to the results of these efforts. Stacia’s lived experience in both rural and urban communities in Canada and Europe have shaped her understanding of the strengths and challenges of each. An avid biker, runner, skier, and yoga instructor, she thrives on the rigor of Northern living while eagerly embracing opportunities to explore diverse countries and cultures. She is fortunate to spend her time with her husband Stephane, her family, and friends, as well as her intrepid beagle Gus.
