Principle Geochemist, Rio Tinto Exploration

Susan Drieberg is a Principal Geochemist with Rio Tinto Exploration with over 20 years of experience in exploration in the Americas and Australia. Susan has worked with major mining companies; mid-tier and junior companies; and government research organizations. Susan has worked in a variety of roles from geologist to managing people and exploration portfolios to owning her own consulting business to being a technical geochemist, across all project stages (generative to mining), and has a wide range of commodity experience. Susan obtained her BSc (Hons) from the University of Arkansas, with a year at the University of Otago, and her PhD from the University of Western Australia. Now based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Susan is passionate about improved methods for automated unbiased geological data collection, advanced visualization of exploration data, effective sampling and QAQC.
