Avischen (Avi) Moodley has served as the Country President for De Beers Canada since November 2023, leading the Canadian team to deliver its strategic objectives.
Avi joined the Anglo American plc Group in 2006 and has worked in several operational, financial and strategic roles across the Base Metals, Platinum and Diamond businesses as well as Anglo American Group functions. He moved to De Beers in 2019, to become the Chief Financial Officer for De Beers Group Managed Operations, which oversees the managed businesses in South Africa and Canada.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Actuarial Science), is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (specialising in Finance and Investments), and is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst.
Avi and his wife live with their two children in Calgary, AB.
