Georgina Lloyd was appointed the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Northern Affairs Organization at the department of Crown Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada in November 2022.

Georgina has more than twenty years of experience leading policy development and program delivery in the federal public service, including an extensive period focused on northern science policy. Her academic focus was in environmental studies. She has occupied several executive roles, including the Director General of the Implementation Branch supporting the meaningful implementation of Canada’s constitutional obligations related to Modern Treaties and Self Government Agreements and leading the whole-of-government Consultation and Accommodation Unit.

Ms. Lloyd is a member of the Ts’msyen Nation from the north coast of British Columbia. She is part of a cohort for a federal Aboriginal Leadership Development Initiative and an active departmental champion for Indigenous voices in the public sector.
