Ken Johnson President & CEO Lipari Mining Ltd. Ken Johnson is the President and CEO of Lipari Mining Ltd, a natural diamond producer with an operating mine in Brazil and an emerging mine in Angola. He has over 40 years of mining industry experience with the majority of his experience focused on the development of diamond deposits in Brazil, Central and South Africa and Canada. He was responsible for the acquisition, financing and development of Lipari’s Braúna diamond mine in Brazil, Latin America’s largest producer of natural diamonds. The Braúna mine commenced commercial production in 2016 and has produced over 1.26 million carats of high-quality diamonds with sales of over US$228 million to date. Lipari is now focused on the development of the advanced-staged Tchiuzo kimberlite deposit in Angola, with a view of advancing the project to production by the end of 2028. Lipari’s Tchiuzo deposit is poised to be Angola’s diamond mine, with projected production of approximately 1.4 million carats per year over an open pit mine life of 14 years. Ken holds a B.Sc. degree in geology from the University of Windsor, Canada and has completed certification courses in South Africa and Canada related to the valuation of natural diamonds.
