Nadia Haider

Born and raised in Toronto, Nadia has over 15 years of experience spanning regulatory strategy, environmental management, and mining operations across North America. In her current role as Vice President, Sustainable Development for Elk Valley Resources (EVR), Nadia provides strategic oversight for progressing regulatory approvals, fostering collaborative partnerships with Indigenous rightsholders and advancing environmental stewardship initiatives for the EVR steelmaking coal business. Nadia began her career managing exploration programs, and has worked on coal, nickel, copper and diamond projects across North America, Asia and Australia. Nadia has also served as a Director and Vice Chair on the Board of Directors at the Mining Association of British Columbia. Nadia holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, with a double major in Geology/Earth Science and Communications, Culture, and Information Technology.
