Byron Dolan

Byron Dolan is an experienced independent consultant and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), specializing in financial analysis, commercial strategy, project planning, and strategic support. During a decade-long tenure at Rio Tinto, he worked at the Diavik Diamond Mine located in the Northwest Territories. During this period, Byron collaborated with Indigenous groups, taking part in IBA negotiations, and facilitating the development of business opportunities. Since his departure from Rio Tinto, he has continued to assist both project proponents and Indigenous groups with IBA negotiations. He is a co-founder and contributor to IBAInfo.org, a website dedicated to exploring how benefits from natural resources are shared between Indigenous communities and mining companies in Canada.
