Chris Hachkowski

Chris joined the Ontario Securities Commission in 2023 after over 12 years in the mining industry. Prior to joining the OSC, Chris worked in equity research on the sell-side for an investment bank covering precious metal clients ranging from exploration stage to intermediate producers. He has extensive experience as a production geologist having worked in underground, narrow vein gold deposits for much of his career at the Macassa Mine, held by Kirkland Lake Gold at the time, and at the Meliadine Mine with Agnico Eagle Mines. He has also spent a short time working as an exploration geologist on a Greenfields exploration project in Burundi, Africa. Chris is a registered Professional Geoscientist in Ontario with a B.Sc.(Hon) in Earth Science from Carleton University and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
