Stephanie Skitch

Stephanie is a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with over 15 years of experience as an exploration geologist. She obtained her B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Calgary and later completed her M.Sc. in Earth Sciences at the University of Toronto. Stephanie has worked with various deposit types during her roles at Pleiades Mineral Exploration, Eldorado Gold Corporation, California Gold Mining, the Geological Survey of Canada, and Mustang Minerals Corporation. Her responsibilities have included roles as a field geologist, conducting open-pit and underground mapping, data analysis, prospecting, project management, exploration budgeting, project acquisitions, and student mentoring. Her career has taken her to notable regions such as the Mother Lode in California; the Walker Lane and Carlin Trend districts in Nevada; the Rice Lake Gold District in Manitoba; the Rainy River Gold District in Ontario; the Tanjishan, White Mountain, and Jinfeng Gold Mines in China; the Stratoni and Perama Hill projects in Greece; and Turkey. Across these diverse locations, she has gained extensive exploration and evaluation expertise. As the President and Co-founder of Pleiades Mineral Exploration, Stephanie focuses on project generation, data analysis, and property evaluations. Stephanie is also deeply involved in the mining community, serving as a Director of the CIM Toronto Branch and contributing to PDAC’s Exploration Insights program. As the second incoming Chair for CIM Toronto, she is committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth within the industry.
