Carlos Castro

Carlos Castro is Corporate Affairs Manager South America at Glencore, President of the Australia‑Peru Chamber of Commerce (APCCI), and Board Member of the National Society of Mining, Oil and Energy in Peru (SNMPE). He has held various senior positions in both the public and private sectors, including at MMG Las Bambas, Hudbay, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Inter‑American Development Bank, and the Peruvian Securities and Exchange Commission; he has also served on the boards of the Canada‑Peru Chamber of Commerce, Andean Mining Cluster, and the Alliance for Works for Taxes. He holds a degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and a Master’s in Policy Management from Georgetown University. He has taught graduate courses at PUCP and at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC).
