Julie E. Bourdeau is a research scientist at the Geological Survey of Canada. She has a B.Sc., M.Sc. (University of Ottawa) and Ph.D. (University of the Witwatersrand) in Geosciences with a focus on integrative geosciences. That is, Julie integrates geological, geochemical, geophysical, geometallurgical, statistical, and data driven techniques to derive novel and comprehensive insights to guide and support mineral exploration. Julie’s current research focus involves resolving bottlenecks in mineral exploration, such as generating large scale mineral prospectivity maps, how to rapidly generate geoscientific data to support data driven techniques, and how to generate and better integrate early geometallurgical knowledge.
