Quebec, Canada

Stephanie Tremblay is the head of sustainability at the Quebec Mining Association (QMA) and has been working with the Association for over four years. She oversees the implementation of the Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) initiative among members, providing strategic support, training, performance monitoring, and the creation of specialized tools. She also chairs two key sectoral committees focused on community relations and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management systems. Biologist by training with a master's degree in environmental sciences, Stephanie has several years of experience in consulting, environmental communication, and science outreach. At the intersection of the environment, community relations, and communications, she takes a strategic approach aimed at strengthening the social legitimacy and transparency of mining projects. Her role in the transition of the TSM initiative to the consolidated international standard and her efforts to raise public awareness contribute to structuring concrete ESG solutions in line with the current expectations of the mining sector and stakeholders.
